Those last few sentences yes very interesting and very accurate :D
It is, isn’t it? I mean the idea. Like some time ago I’d have figured that if I knew for certain, like saw and believed or whatever, actual demons or angels or anything beyond our visible existence it’d feel like a clincher for an agnostic or someone with any doubts. “Yep, I’m certain- I know it’s all real and I’ll do the logical thing now, which is being devout and stuff”.
But then Supernatural is a world where not only do things outside of the known world but angels and Hell and Heaven and prayer and God and all that exist and it’s still very much an atheistic- probably not the correct literal word, but you know what I mean- universe. It brings up the idea that, like, religion or faith isn’t only (or at all, even) about believing in the existence of those things per se, but a kind of belief system as in having faith that it is right and good, not only that it is there
